Iconic is a term used far more often than required, a crime of contemporary culture where anything above average is bandied as somehow legendary. But occasionally something comes along (or happens to drive past) that is truly an icon. And in the automotive world there are few true icons, but without question the BMW E30 M3 is amongst them. Those box flares and angular skirts hint at Deutsche Tourenwagen Master homologation and shroud the rev-crazed S14 four cylinder that fully exploits the perfectly balanced chassis. While on a quiet Sunday morning on Adelaide’s Rundle Street recently, AGR was fortunate enough to have the camera ready to catch this immaculate Apline Weiss example cut through the city.
