Any Given Reason Burger Meet V is almost here

BGMV_posterNow that Christmas and all the fuss surrounding it is done with we can finally turn our attention to Any Given Reason’s Burger Meet, being held tomorrow evening (Sunday December 27th) from 6pm at Penny’s Hill McLaren Vale, South Australia. It’s shaping up to be a cracker. I know of some pretty awesome cars and a few other machines that will be touching down for the meet, throw in some music and a huge supply of awesome burgers and it will be one to remember.

BGMV_FiatI’m pretty excited that for the first time in Burger Meet history I’ll actually have my own car there. It’s been an on-and-off seven year project that’s finally just hit the road, and driving it down to McLaren Vale for Burger Meet will be the furthest it’s been from the shed in three-quarters of a decade. That’s a scary thought. It did make it to Mallala last year but it came home on a tow truck – fingers crossed it’s a different story this time.

BGMV_Fiat (1)A few quick points of info for those attending the meet:

  • As you pull into the main driveway of Penny’s Hill (look for the stone walls), keep heading through to the back paddock. A small army of volunteers fundraising on behalf of Novita will be directing traffic, and in return it would be awesome if you could sling them a few gold coins for their time. They’re part of a charity group called Racing for James, organised by Southern Districts Car Club member Travis Harris to raise funds and awareness as a way of saying thanks for the rehabilitation help Novita gave Travis’ son James. Look for the Racing For James stickers on the white Bug Eye WRX rally car, which will be on display.
  • Pulled pork and beef Burger’s will be available – price is $10 for a burger, or $20 for a burger, chips and beer combo. It would be awesome if you could return the favor to Penny’s Hill for hosting Burger Meet by buying a burger and a few drinks, they’re making a pretty big investment in sorting the catering out for us on a night they’d normally be closed which is great of Max and his team.
  • There’s an extremely limited run of the Burger Meet poster available (as per top photo), 140gsm matte, individually numbered to 20, ready to be framed. $20ea, they’re almost all gone. Email if you’d like one.

See you down at Penny’s Hill!
