Merry Christmas… and we’ll see you on December 30 at Burger Meet Seven!

With the changing of the seasons comes Christmas, and after Christmas comes… Burger Meet!

I’m pleased to take this opportunity to once again wish all of the readers, friends and supporters of Any Given Reason a very Merry Christmas, and to invite you all to our annual Burger Meet event – December 30, 2017, from 6pm. And once again we’ll be returning to our friends down at Penny’s Hill, McLaren Vale, South Australia.

It’s set to be another great summer evening of cars, friends and burgers. Once again, thanks to Adelaide Hills Toyota for their continued support of Burger Meet.

It’s been a huge year for us at Any Given Reason, and whilst things have been a little quiet here on the website, they’ve been feverishly busy behind the scenes. AGR is now based in North London, and in 2018 we’re excited to welcome a small handful of high-quality Adelaide based contributors on board to keep the local content coming. That will be mixed in with a few English and European stories from time to time – so make sure to get in touch if you have any interesting story suggestions, on either side of the pond.

Things are really beginning to take off in South Australia – the obvious one is The Bend Motorsport Park which is set to open in 2018. That’s global news, not just local news, however we’ll still be there to report on it all. The Adelaide Motorsport Festival has just had another bumper event, and I reckon that it has properly hit critical mass and is set to skyrocket even further from here. There are cars and coffee events happening all over the state, we’ve got plenty of lucky owners who are enjoying all of the latest supercars on our roads as soon as they are launched, and we’ve got two exciting new gravel rallies set to be held for the first time in 2018. The Adelaide Hills Rally, which is our new round of the Australian Rally Championship, will be particularly interesting.

We live in exciting times – and AGR will be there to report on it all.

However, the real work has gone into our new print magazine project, which Luke Jaksa and myself have worked hard over the past 12 months to get off the ground from nothing. Sports Car Safari is an Australian based print quarterly which explores the ways in which fun and exciting cars can complement a life well lived – and we’re absolutely thrilled to be launching it at Burger Meet Seven!

Have a safe and happy Christmas, and right after that we’d love to see you and your interesting car at Burger Meet Seven, so come down for a burger and to collect your copy of Sports Car Safari!
